Even though the mega pop star has appeared on American Idol two years ago with a live performance of “Just Dance,” Lady Gaga began to make her own demands for her second time around.

When American Idol approached the outrageous singer, she demanded a paycheck of $250,000 to appear on the hit Fox show. Producers of the show hesitated to pay her that amount of money.

“They thought it was just crazy she was asking for so much money,” a source tells OK! “It was just too much money to pay talent for a performance.”

But American Idol producers have patched up things with Lady Gaga, because the attention-getting singer taped her performance for next week’s American Idol Top 5 Results Show.

The singer performed a dash of “Bad Romance” on the piano, and will then break into her current hit “Alejandro.”

“Lady Gaga will make some jaws hit the ground as she wears a black thong with a revealing black fishnet bodysuit,” an eyewitness tells OK! “It’s a typical provocative costume, but it’s a little shocking.”

The choreography is all original, and exclusively created for this episode of American Idol. It will not be repeated on any of her upcoming tours.

This past Tuesday, Lady Gaga and her dancers rehearsed for three and a half hours for the taping on Wednesday. The performance will air on Wednesday, May 5 along with Harry Connick Jr. who is the Idols’ mentor of the week.

The Simpsons season finale, Judge Me Tender will feature all of the regulars from American Idol as Moe the Bartender is invited to join the gang at the judges table!

Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson, Ellen DeGeneres, Kara DioGuardi and Ryan Seacrest will be lending their voices to the episode, scheduled to air May 23rd on Fox.

Idol Coming To An End?

According to Star magazine, next year will be American Idol’s 10th and final season.

“Producers know Simon really makes the show, and they feel like they could go only one season without him and the quality will suffer after that.”

Everyone involved wants the show to go out on a high note, so “they’re going to bring in an all-star list of guest judges, including past winners like Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood.”

Miley Cyrus Mentors The American Idol Top 11! Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato Perform.

Miley Cyrus will appear as a guest mentor on Idol and help the Top 11 finalists prepare for their performances on a Billboard No.1 Hits-themed show airing Tuesday, March 23rd.

Tune in to the results show the following night, Wednesday, March 24th, to see Cyrus perform her hit “When I Look At You,” watch Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato sing “Make A Wave,” and find out who receives enough votes to stay in the competition and who is sent home.
